Economic Value and Management Control Systems in Complex Contexts
My research project concerns the business complexity and, in particular, the economic value measurement in complex scenarios (Olivotto, 2000). The objective is to design a methodological scheme for measuring and managing the economic value with the ability to capture, in the best possible way, the business characteristics.
The main goal is to understand the links and the implications for the management control based on economic measures. The main step towards this end is to accurately estimate of the business risk of companies.
The first step to develop this project is to map and understand the State of the Art in the economic value and management control literature, and the link with the firm’s complexity literature. The tool for developing this step is the bibliographic review.
