Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)
My research is focused on studying the PPP functioning, in general, and its application in CIS1 countries, in particular. Public-private partnership (PPP) is a specific long-term contract between private party and public sector authority, that has become one of the most popular and convenient tools used by policy makers to increase investment as well as to improve efficiency of the infrastructure services. Despite the explicit interest and growing need for alternative modes and tools the application of PPP in CIS countries is still in significant delay in comparison with the developed world for a number of reasons (economic, financial, legal). I believe that the study of the PPP in the CIS countries can offer a further contribution to the literature on the topic, as well as provide assistance to public and private stakeholders involved in PPP.
